Dayton Brady Wins Again, Davis Takes Home Checkered in Pure Stocks
Dayton Brady returned to Lake of the Woods Speedway for the second time this season and went home victorious in the Q104 WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds. A total of ten cars entered and Brady was up for the challenge once again. Even though he started 8th, he was able to make his way around traffic for the lead.
"I knew if I was able to claim the bottom once I took the lead, that it was going to be hard to get around me," Brady said in his post race interview.
A late race caution definitely made it close as Cody Ossachuk, who also attended for the second time this year, took a fast outside line to make it close. With the final few laps to go Ossachuk showed some momentum up top.
"I could really start to hear his engine with just a couple laps to go, but I still felt confident that we could hold him off for the win," Brady concluded.
In the WISSOTA Pure Stocks, rookie Greg Smith challenged throughout both the heat and the feature, but Davis took the victory in both races.
Lake of the Woods Speedway will be off next weekend due to the Emo Speedway's Annual Two Day Fall Fair Races.
Racing Action resumes at the Speedway on August 23rd with Hot Laps at 7pm and Racing at 7:30pm.
