In only a couple years of racing at Lake of the Woods Speedway, Dustin Alcock has shown that he has some serious natural talent. His first racing event was at the Dinner Jacket Classic Series on July 31, 2021. He finished 4th (started 6th) in his heat and finished 9th in the feature of 12 entries.
Alcock had early success by winning the season finale that year while starting in the fifth position. It was only his fifth start in his career. He has also participated in the StayinKenora100 in 2022 and in 2023.
As a Diesel Mechanic, Alcock says he loves, “everything that has a motor,” and figured “why not try racing?!” His pit crew includes Les Alcock and is sponsored by Bennetts Marine.
While mechanical problems plagued him throughout much of 2022, he did have a strong second place finish at the Season Finale.
Expectations this year is to hopefully get a few wins in a very competitive 4-Cylinder class.
Promoter’s Thoughts – “Dustin has some amazing energy and you can tell how much fun he has out on the track. After a difficult season in 2022, I would imagine that he will return to form from his rookie year. He has the ability to be consistent enough to win the championship“
