July 2024 Power Rankings - HD Contracting Enterprises 4-Cylinders

We break down the results of the first month of racing at Lake of the Woods Speedway in the Power Rankings.

1st - Dustin Alcock (+1) - Kenora, Ontario

A first and a third opened up the top spot for Dustin. He is in good form to start the season even though the margin between him and Kamea is razor thin. He will have to continue to be at the top of his game if he is to remain #1.

2nd - Kamea Mulholland (-1) - Winnipeg, MB

Oh so close, Kamea has been on the doorstep to win both races in 2024. Unfortunately, with how tight the battle is with her and Dustin, she is trailing by a small margin. The points race will certainly come down to the wire.

3rd - Madoc Mulholland (Unchanged) - Winnipeg, MB

Madoc has been right behind the leaders for both events and looks poised to make a challenge for a win this season. The faster he gets, the more worried the top 2 drivers will need to be.

4th - Shelden McDonald*/*Taylor Strong-McCauley (+1) Kenora, ON

Shelden McDonald looked strong in the first race of the season with a second place finish, Taylor followed it up with a seventh place finish. It will be interesting to see where they end up overall between the two.

5th - Aiden McKuski (New) - New Bothwell, MB

Aiden is new to the power rankings and immediately moves into the fifth spot. Both Aiden and Derek (6th) have had great side by side racing and their share of mechanical issues. Similar to the top two cars, Aiden and Derek are very close to each other on the ranking

6th - Derek Poirier* (New) - St. Adolphe, MB

Derek has learned a lot in a short time and even with occasional mistakes, he's been able to mostly keep things straight. Both he and Aiden are very exciting to watch on the track when mechanical issues don't interrupt.

7th - Zachary Valiquette (-3) - Kenora, ON

Zachary was beside himself when he finished his first feature race in almost a year. However, starter problems kept him out of week two. If he can get his mechanical woes out of the picture, he should be able to move up the rankings.

8th - Dustin Wowk (New) - Winnipeg, MB

Dustin was able to attend week two and is now placed on the power rankings. There isn't enough data to see where he might go, so we will watch.

9th - Katelynne Mazur-Defoort* (Adjusted) (+1) - Woodlands, MB

If there is anyone who is in a hurry to improve, it's Katelynne. In just a couple race events, she has gained a lot of speed through the straights. Her cornering is also improving. There was a noticeable difference holding her line in week two.

10th - Melanie Alcock* (Adjusted) (-1) - Kenora, ON

Melanie is gaining speed but electrical issues has stagnated her ability to push
herself and the car harder. If she can sort the issues out soon, she can focus on the growth of her skillset.
